Stringers Sorrento

Known locally as ‘Stringers Corner’, Stringers occupies a special place in the history of Sorrento. Built in 1896, this merchants store ‘up the hill’ has fed locals and visitors alike ever since – the pleasure seekers, picnic parties and steamboat passengers of the early 1900s stopped by for tea, wine and provisions. Stringers has continued to provide for all and sundry, evolving over more than a century.
