Stringers Sorrento

Known locally as ‘Stringers Corner’, Stringers occupies a special place in the history of Sorrento. Built in 1896, this merchants store ‘up the hill’ has fed locals and visitors alike ever since – the pleasure seekers, picnic parties and steamboat passengers of the early 1900s stopped by for tea, wine and provisions. Stringers has continued to provide for all and sundry, evolving over more than a century.

Open from 8am daily for walk-ins and reservations.

With a seasonal menu curated with sustainability in mind – Stringers is an all-day eatery that celebrates local produce.

With a wide array of wine, signature cocktails, local and imported beers on offer, there’s a drink for everyone – take a seat at the bar or in the sun-drenched courtyard to enjoy the sea breeze.

The underground wine cellar is fully stocked with rare and fine bottles from the area – after you’ve found a drop you like, browse the dedicated wine wall in-store and bring a bottle (or two) home to enjoy.
